Maui Scuba Diving will offer you a great experience. One can dive either by diving our popular inshore reefs or by boat to Lanai or Molokini Crater. Diving from our beaches is very popular. Our beach dives offer entries and exits that are easy. Our inshore reefs offer lots of Marine Life and many different fish species, eel and turtles. The water temperature varies 8 to 10 degrees from winter to summer. One can dive with two or three mill, wetsuit using very little weights. This is extremely comfortable.
The boat tours leave daily from Kihei boat ramp going to Molokini Crater and from Mala ramp in the Lahaina Kaanapali Beach area going to the island of Lanai. These boats will bring you to the reef quickly and return you promptly to the dock. Continental breakfast, beverage and snacks are provided on these trips.
We also offer Padi professional instruction for Open Water and Advanced Open Water certification. The open water certification can be accomplished in three fun filled days. The first day is registration and academics to have you understand the basics. The second day is fun filled with confined water training where you will learn many basic underwater dive skills to make you a confident diver and than you will do your first two open water dives. The confined water dives will teach you many different dive skills to make you a proficient diver. The open water dives are where you will show the instructor some of the basic underwater skills that you have learned in the confined water class. The third and final day consists of the last two open water dives again where you will show the Instructor some of the skills that you have learned and than the final examination.
The advanced open water class consists of five dives in the course of two days. Two of the dives, deep and navigation are Core Dives. These "must" be done. The other three dives are Elective dives. There are many to choose from such as Boat, Search and Recovery, Photography, and many more that can be done in Hawaii. This class will give you training beyond 60 feet and give you more advanced navigational skills. On all classes all equipment rental is included with the training, so no need to have to rent equipment.
Beginners are also our specialty. We also offer Introductory or Resort classes for the person who has never dove before. This is usually the first step before becoming a certified diver. Within one half to one hour of fun filled instruction you can join us on a supervised dive with your spouse or friends to depths of forty feet. This depth is where you will see most marine life and you will have the best bottom times. This class and the dive will consume about three hours of your time from start to finish. Come join the fun with us as many other visitors have done while visiting Hawaii.
